How does this wash look?

I just like keeping an eye on my stuff,,i've rejetted MANY of times because
of temp changes going on a trip,i hate white plugs!!!!!
 
Well, personally ive run many a time below 0 degrees F, such as 10 or 15 below with Yamahas stock jetting and have NEVER had an issue. Runs quite crisp actually, lol, anyway I don't know why your making more work for yourself by rejetting a stock sled?? You said it yourself, your a stock kind of guy, so you prolly know as well as everyone else that Yamaha did their homework in putting these things together, why mess with it? (unless your doing summer grass drags or something)

10-15 bellow huh??,,i guess why does Yammie have a temp jetting chart,,nuf my time wasted here.......

I agree.... All those snowmobile shops and repairs centers stay in business somehow......=) I forget from time to time that most people are satisfied with it as long as it runs.. wether its right or not

Some people including myself like to attain top performance from our sleds. We, people like me, Like to ensure that our sleds are running in tip top shape and will last through the years. If you like to run your sled in -15 with your current stock jetting, go ahead!
 
I just throw some info out there and ask a question and everyone goes off on me, WTF? Sorry if I came across a little rude, which i didn't mean to in any way, If you guys wanna keep tearing me apart go for it, but like i said, sorry if I offended anyone (not sure how but whatever)

I will 2nd that same temps as you stock sled never changed jets.Run rich in warmer temps but will stay together in the friday night 2 am run.No big changes in elivation mind you.Must be a full moon tonight?
 
OK kids, lets all play nice. If any of you start the bickering back up after I post......

For what it's worth, I've run the stock jetting in my red head down to probably -30C. The Exciter II SX with Aaen pipe I've run down to -40C after dropping one from stock on the mains. Keep in mind that I don't do any sustained long speed wide open runs, usually hang around near the end of the needle. Both those sleds run fat as poop when it's warm but they didn't foul plugs and I couldn't be bothered to mess with the jetting.

Some guys like to jet for peak performance at the expected temp and Yamaha has a jetting chart for that. It could hardly be called extra work if they enjoy the result and reap the benefits.
 
I have a Alex Mayses ported 90 exciter with a single aaen pipe.The only sled i had to adjust jets for warm temps.No air getting under the hood i think.Sounds like a bumble be at full cry.How does yours sound?

The SX was sweet with the pipe(been gone about 5 seasons now). My right foot got cold after I put the damn thing in there though. :) You could always tell when the temp started creeping down at night, the flipper always got more fun. The sound was about what you'd expect from an aftermarket exhaust, but I can barely remember the details.

Yea their definatly alot more fun on the crisp nights, and yes it would be nice to lean them out a little during the days, but coming home at night when its like 10 below F, yikes!! i don't wanna think about it. Its not like an SRX is a slouch in 20-30 degree temps any way, just not as snappy it seems.....
