I was taking off my exhaust manifolds and one of the bolts broke off right at the head. Damn it!!! Was wondering the best way to remove it. Bottom left bolt on center cylinder.

i like welding nuts to the broken studs/bolts. then you can just put a wrench or socket on it and the heat from welding helps to weaken the rust. don't try and use an easy out. they are junk and will get you no where. just take a nut, that has a big enough threaded hole, to just slide over your broken bolt. then you fill up the entire hole w/weld, welding it to the broken bolt.

You'll probably just end up stripping it really bad with vice grips. I would do it like Mopar said. No use making it worse to get out than it already is. I've been successful with drilling a hole in the end and using an easy out, but it can be a real pain to drill the hole straight and not booger up the threads of the hole if drilled it at an angle. I've also had luck using a left handed drill bit, they sometimes spin right out. Still, if its rusted in your better off doing what Mopar said.
