I've ridden the last couple of years with a pair of camo duck hunting bibs, They are actually too warm. I've ridden in below zero temps in northern MN and been warm in just my shorts. This year I bought a pair of HJC storm bibs, I'll see how they are. The duck hunting bibs (NOT waders) are water proof.

I run arctiva MPX jacket ad bibs. 167 each you cant beat it.

the material they are made of is just as heavy as carhart jackets. BIBs have zippered legs and a padded knee shin area.
