I need to replace the bearings on the upper idler wheels on the skid of my srx. It's the 2 smaller wheels and then the 2 larger wheels. I did a search and one post suggested pulling the circ-clip off of the larger wheels and tapping the wheel off the bearing then using a 3-jaw puller to pull the bearing. This sounds do-able once I find my puller. What do I do for the smaller one? Is this the best way to do the larger ones? I can't remember what I did on my 96.
YOU CAN PULL HE SMALLER ONES, WHEEL AND ALL BUT IT IS A LOT EASIER TO KNOCK THE WHEEL OFF THE BEARING AND THEN PULL THE BEARING. tHE WHEELS ARE HARD TO GET A PULLER ON WHEREAS THE BEARINGS ARE MUCH EASIER.

Dont know about the srx but the viper upper carriage wheels are a sealed unit from factory there is no snap ring in the original wheel but the after market wheel comes with the circlip,i had to beat my old ones off took a hammer and held the hammer by the head and used the rubber of the handle to beat the wheel of took some time and muscle but it will come off .good luck.
PS. they are pressed on by the way.

I think the srx and the viper had different upper large wheels if I remember reading the posts. I think the viper guys replace thiers with the srx ones cause they are 2-peices.
