OK so i bought my sled this year with out the air filter so i went to my parts place and they guy told me that it would take Yamaha to ship an air filter like a week or so i was like f that so the guy at the shop handed me a chunk of universal "uni filter" http://www.unifilter.com/ and said it was the same thing and cheaper so i bought it . and made my own filter hears how it came out. i did no know how the original Yamaha filter sat in there so this is what i got.
wow that is nice!!!!
TOO BAD it didnt come in dark blue

Looks a lot more dense than the OEM that came with my '01. In fact I swapped out the OEM for a less dense filter medium I acquired. Nice job on cutting it out... looks like the OEM in shape and size.
Looks great, I am going to have to replace one soon....Thought about going that route. Do you do all your work on your Bed?? lol..
^^^^ I was wondering the same thing. LOL

Yea that came out nice, but it does look a lot denser than an OEM filter, less air less power
like 1 hp if that... I bet the uni flows almost the same as the stock.

this uni filter flows really well and at 13 95 couldn't beat the price yea i was doing the work on my bed because it was 2 in the mooring and it was one of the cleanest spots in my house lol but like i said i did not have the oem filter to go buy the tools i used were a square measuring tape and scissors took about 20 min to do it right
