97' sxr 700???

It's funny he doesn't mention the fact that he put different ski's on it along with new front shocks and a rear suspension upgrade. I would ask some questions. Not that the sled looks bad but I would want the seller to be up front about everything. My .02
 
I emailed the guy to tell him they didnt make sxr's until 2000.He emailed me back and said "Oh really,because i bought it brand new.Go figure." What a tool.
 
They made a sx(vmax blue)in '99 but yea first "R" was '00,who's he trying to
B.S,thats problably a V-Max '97-99 painted up...lol

In 1997, didn't they put the 700 motor in the SX only? Then in 1998, they started putting it in the XT and XTC. Correct me if I'm wrong.

yeah right he don't know his *** form a hole in the ground. that is a 97 SX Long travled with all SXR stuff. First SXR was 2000 first blue SX was 99 i has one and that was also the first year for the triple 600 motor. :)
 
I just tried to click on the craigslist link to check this out for myself and "This add has been removed by its author"....... Hmmmm....... from what you guys are sayin sounds like somethin fishy to me.....

a reply of "liar" should suffice.

The fact that he does not know what he owns, and not knowing that no SXR was made in 97 bothers me as much as the fact that he appears to be hiding something.
 
Can you say "hot sled". I wonder what, or whos, it started out as.... Just my impression. I might not be able to tell the different years apart and know all the facts about them personally I've been around this site long enough to know theres people on here who definately can. If that much has been changed on the sled and "Thats what the registration says" even though they wernt made that year, it sounds to me like somebody didnt do their homework before they tried to fence this sled. Sounds like a hot swap to me. Just imo

Kinda funny how the add disappeared when people started askin questions too.... :dunno:
