I am looking at buying a 2000 SXR700. The sled has 9000 miles on it. It has CPR triple pipes, clutching, gearing, and a 1.25 track. The sled is in ok condition. It needs a piston and a cylinder. What do you think is a fair offer?
Ok condition and needs a piston and cylinder. $800 tops for me. Up to you as to what you think it's worth to you.

well keep in mind 9000 miles is a ton your going to need a freashing up on
all holes,rings, mic pistons, case seals,chk bearings,,etc,etc......

I would say between $800 -$1,000 if it was me buting it,depends on the shape of it

got to go with the above 800-1000 jug is gonna be about 100 + - and the piston set for all three jugs and rings (I would do them all with that many miles) will be up about 300 i believe. Not to mention the skid bearings and bushing will be about 150. Your looking around 500 or so in parts i would estimate plus your time to install. I think that would be fair.

$500 wtf? The seller could part it out and get over $1000 all day long. If someone offered me that on that sled I'd show them the door.

Does he have the stock pipes? If he does and you wanna get away cheap sell the cpr's and put the money into fixing the motor.I agree 500.00 is too low,im parting out a 97 sx and im up to 1000.00 and i still have parts left.

Maybe. But look what the buyer needs to do right away; cylinder, piston and with 9,000 miles who knows what else it needs?? The money can add up pretty quick. He also says its only in ok condition.
