160 mph...liter bike eating...arctic cat!!!!

no its not km/h, dude just thinks his cat is the shit. also doesnt know anything about superbikes if he thinks they only do 160mph

Lol i can't see the vid due to dial up, but i'm guessing some guy on a snowmobile is racing a 1000cc sport bike.... Theres no comparison.... Those bikes do about 186mph stock governed, however that can be changed if you know what your doing, alot of pontential in those new liter bikes.

lol its just the fact that the guy thinks his 1000 cc cat is that fast "will speed off to 160mph without trying" im sorry but to get a rotating mass moving that fast takes alot of power i can see maby 125 ish if running just right but yea them thunder cats can move. they have something like 165+ hp

Exactly.

My literbike is slow compared to the new ones, and it still does 170+ mph.

Heck, mine has 120 rwhp, most new literbikes are putting 150 to the ground.

I bet the speedo goes to 160 if the track is off the ground. LOL

That cat may be fast for now, but it will blow up soon enough.

I like all the pics of the '1000' lable on the seat.... that means it fast as hell...160mph rite... yeah, oook. I bet its quick but not that damn fast. Maybe on a really long, steep down hill sheet of ice with the wind at his back.... cuz that'll happen... Like said before, just pin it a couple more times, it'll blow up soon enough - then it will speed off to 0mph without even tryin!

You gotta take the honour for most anti-cat on this site lol.

Speedo only goes to 100mph

Thanks! ;)

That is all the speedo goes to on a T cat??

My speedo goes to 120 on my XC. And I broke the cable twice the first winter I had it by pegging the speedo.

Since then I let off if it gets up that high. It is fun until it costs 20 bucks to fix it.

I thought of something else during lunch. These new 180 hp literbikes are putting 150-160 hp to the rear wheel on a realistic eddy current dyno , that means they lose a few hp from drivertain loss. I know my bike runs around 140hp at the crank, and 120 rwhp on these realistic dynos. When people first started to run their sleds on a track dyno to show if the clutching can be improved to gain track hp they were amazed on how much parasitic losses that a sled has. I know a 100-120 hp sled was only getting 50-60 track hp, even after a clutch kit. It was seriously close to a 50% hp loss, at least on a 600. Since the track weighs pretty much the same from sled to sled provided the lug height and total track lengths are the same. I wonder what a t cat or any of these big bore lake runners actually put to the track.

I would not doubt the 172 hp t cat puts a realistic 100-110 hp to the track if the driveline losses are the same as other sleds.

From what ive seen a well prepped t cat will run 125 mph stock....this guy installs a clutch kit and "hits 160 mph without even trying".Wow,thats amazing!!!!

I thought Tcats had the 130 mph speedo's?
I doubt most of them see those #s. In real life, maybe in the low to mid 120's

I will take a ported and well tuned 780 kit in a drag VS a 1000 T cat any day.

A well tuned stock SRX can give them one hell of a run.

^^^ those cars had long legs on top end, your 05 R6 will see an honest 170ish mph on top end.... I bet those stangs, given enough room would run that.... correct me if i'm wrong, not sure if they come governed rediculously lower then their pontential.
