I have read different clutch weight rivet sizes sugested for the 03 600's and I'm not sure which one is right. I've herd change the outside rivet to 13.9 but the spec. sheet says that is stock. I was told on another site to change the inner rivet from a .8 to a 4.5. does this sound right? I haven't ridden it yet to see how it does but I'd rather make the changes now when it's 35 out not when it's 10.
Thanks

generally those sleds over rev from factory but until you ride it and see what your RPM's are ar wot there is really no fast bolt on solution...did you buy the sled new and if not has there been clutch work already....I have an 03 600er as well and I used my stock sxr weights whick helped but that was a quick fix.
I am the 2nd owner but nothing has been touched on it. It had 42 miles put on it the winter of 03-04 then was stored until I bought it in october. Still not broke in.
Ok I've got about 250 miles on it and it runs about 9100 rpm's any sugestions on rivet weights. Thanks

what is in it now for clutching...is it stock or have there been changes...I have one and I put in different weights but am getting some belt slippage with the current set up. 9100 is a big overrev for that sled...whats the mileage on that machine.
