Should I get a Can from my SRX?

Last season I passed trail patrol officers twice. This is when my silencers were empty (The packing all blew out). They were like pro stock 1000 pipes! Seriously, Yeah That loud. But Now I just repacked them, And it's maybe 5 DB louder than stock. I love these pipes!

In my opinion a can equals nothing but loudness. Been there and done that. Had too many discusting looks and warden stops. Foolish waste of money in my opinion.

I just bought an SRX, always ridden Doo. I would just like to compliment everyone on here for being cool about cans and not just talking trash like every other page (like Doo Talk and HCS). The right one sounds good and weight can be way better than HP if you're off trail, not to mention sound awesome! Nice to talk to some reasonable sledders.

If I'm riding in populated area's I run stock. If I'm heading up North where during 95% of my riding the only thing hearing my sled are the trees, rabbits and moose, I run my Bender can. ;)!

I have growlers, power inc and stock can for my sled......I find that the best fit/finish and sound is my power inc. It is a lot like the stock can with a better tone and less weight. My growlers I only run on the river when I want to be really loud. I will also run my stock can when I want to be quiet. They all have there purpose. I have not noticed my sled pull any of the clutches differently...my 2 cents!!!!!

It is loud......I would not want to see a cop on the trail with it on my sled. It has a real loud crackel...That is the best way to describe it...I tried to get a good video of mine but they are to loud on the garage floor and it drowns out the tone.

I agree with them making power. My buddy has one on his 99srx.He hasn't done anything else to it.It now spins at around 9000 rpms.Yes i have told him to clutch it,thats too high. But,doesn't this mean it's making more power? They also sound so awesome.I have one on my sxr.Looking for one for my srx.

Just because a motor is spinning higher rpm DOES NOT mean it`s making more power. Every motor has a peak power rpm and after that it goes downhill. So if he is spinning 9000 rpm he is losing power!

yes those r hauck stingers to be exact.... i have em on my sled and just love the sound..... they did give my sled a better pull cus of weight and more flow but i run a fully modded sled.... i also run nos... but i did alot of research on cans and talked to alot of people from the tech deps. and its all about weight loss. your pipes is where you get or lose power.... 2 strokes have a thing called harmonicks in the pipes( i cain't spell) its what pulls the exaust out of the motor and makes back pressure and if its diff it could make more power or lose power.... so a can is just all about weight and sound .... but hey weight is power !!!!!! so.... lose as much as ya can :nos:
