The way I see it is this:
Amsoil Interceptor: More detergent for cleaner PV's with less carbon deposit. Being a good synthetic provides enough protection for 95% of us.
Amsoil Dominator: Less detergent so more protection for racing engine but at the cost of dirtier PV's.

Valve adjustment-
Hey Thanks to all- got some great help from some very knowledgable people here lately. Not sure if this is right place to ask this?, but here goes. After doing a bit of work on my sled lately, i am ready to start it up. Want to change out injector oil, drained all old oil from tank now ready for new. Got some ggod feedback here, am going to go with Amsoil Intercecpter. Tried to go online to find local dealer, but got a page that asks (imho) too many personal questions, for an oil purchase. Tried calling several powersports dealers, auto parts stores and some marinas, am i missing something here or? There was three dealers located within 10-20 or so miles of me here in SE CT shoreline, but the Amsoil website would not allow access to contact without a Q&A session. Am thinking that a gallon jug, or four qts will cost me $35-$40, and that's fine by me, just need to find it. Thanks for any assistance, and ride safe, al

how did you drain the oil out of the tank? be sure to get the air out of the line, if you drained it out, by pulling the oil line off the pump.

Oil draining-
Well didn't really drain it out, used a manual pump and sucked it out of the tank. Left about an inch or so in there still. figured i would just add some new oil to tank after draining /pumping just a bit more out. didn't drain completely as had to trailer it home last Sun eve, will trlr again Fri nite back to buddies shop. Plus did not pull it all out or apart as didn't want an air bound oil pump, figured i would bleed out from pump screw and toss that stuff into weed eater after i see the new stuff running heavy. Still need to find some Amsoil tho, been looking online again, seems crazy all the ?? on their home page tho. Thanks, al

thats right how you did it drain it right low then pour in the new,if you can
when you find a dealer may want to buy a case of it,little cheaper in the long run..

Just thought I would mention that turning the servo motor by hand all the way to the stop will not damage it. However, this is not where it goes on full open.

By hand-
They were close to the 2.7mm spacers i had put in the outer part of the housing, but i will absolutly double check when i get it running(this wknd). I did find someone who can get the Amsoil Interceptor oil for me, 15 miles from here, not bad. Just took another 1/2 hr of searching on the web, yellow pgs had nothing, nor any of the local toy stores. This person does not stock any, but can get it in a few days. Thanks to all, and ride safe, al

Valve adjustment-
Hey all- got here running today just now!! Yeah!! Sounds good too, had carb bowl screws out a bit til gas ran out, had plugs out with key off. Put a lite mix of oil in with about 2 gals of high test, just to be sure of oil/gas @ startup. Ok so i idled it down to about 700-800, servo turned counter clockwise a bit more than turning by hand, actually wound up with about 4+ mm now where before by hand i had 2.78mm, where the 2 screw housing separation point is. So will keep eye on new mark when sled was shut down, and will still adjust to my 2.78mm finish nails i was using. Does this sound like i am the right path to you folks? Thanks and ride safe, al

Hey, Daman you are one of the people on here that i DO listen to/or read, or well ya know. I was going to check clearance again when it was up and running. Big differance in clearance tho, couldn't do the elec thing as a 2 wire plug was orig issue, but the idle down worked perfect, (glad i thought of it). But you think 2.78mm is good,? had two 2.5mm a/w last week, now one has temp disapeared. 2.78mm good? Thanks again, al
