So to get my 144, a 136 cat or doo skid set back would be an ideal set up?
What would be you fella's first choice for a 136 take off skid for the srx?

Anybody besides Yam_Apex running a cross-over tube on the SRX. Concerned with temp during low snow on stock 700. Is there a best location for snow flap on a 136" M10.
I tried it on my 600 one weekend late in the season. Had a heck of a time keeping the temp light off. Friend of mine runs his 700 mountain mod with a tube and it will flicker the light on the trail up and down the mountain if he's not paying attention. In the pow it's fine.

I checked with Tom Hartman before I changed mine - he uses the tubes on all of his mods (granted most are riding in deep pow) I guess shouldn't say it will work for everyone in all conditions, but I haven't had any probs
Has anyone on here just put the SRX 700 engine into an '02 Mountain Max?

cross over tube fine as long as system has no air in it. you will need to put on its side 10 times and release the air each time but will be fine in low snow cond.
depends how crazy and who much cash you want to spend and $ vs function.
cheap route, buy track, 144 or 141 put on extentions (rail and tunnel) buy mountain performance enhansment kit for $50(long limiter straps that eliminate transfer rods) powder skis, shocks (front and back) and adjust your clutch. $ around 800
expensive route buy a new skid, k mod or something of the sort. track, tunnel extension, skis, (shocks front) and clutch. $ around 3,000 best function
make sure if you switch tunnels or even if you leave your tunnel you drop it down and back. and yes ratchet s are a must for your track
