Cant figure out 91 Exciter II 570!!!!

OK this sled use to run strong but now I am having troubles with it. Hard starts, bogs heavily on bottom end, can only keep an idle going by throwing on the choke. Has nice prower mid range thru to top end. I've sync'd/cleaned the carbs al lthat jazz. Now the only clue is i have is this: The right side plug is soaked and the left side is white. I can tell the right cyclinder is getting more gas cuz theres gas coming out of the right side on the exhaust (the closest exhaust connection to the engine.)

Does anyone know why the two plugs would be different? The carbs have been sync'd too.

Any help appreciated!
 
Did you happen to check the needly and seat? I always check with a hand operated pop off pressure gauge. The needle and seat must hold at minimum 5psi. Maybe you just have one carb flooding
 
Can you explain more in detail how you test the pressure?
Remember when cleaning the carbs the right side carb's needle was i bit wobbly and had movement, the left side needle was in firm

We use a pop off pressure gauge, basically a small hand help air pump with a low pressure gauge. to test:
Remove bowl assy, have carb upside down, apply a small amount of pressure against the float arms. pump pressure in the fuel inlet. If the seat and needle are good the pressure will hold, if not the pressure will bleed off. I use a small amount of WD:40 to the seat assy, if needle is bleeding, bubbles will show. I will try to take a picture of a pop off gauge tomorrow. Al
 
Success!!! Needle and seat were done. Took them to the local shop and the guy said yep they are F***ED. Got a new one and now she runs like a charm!

ONE MORE ISSUE tho
I have no tach and no head light and dash lights? Thinking its a ground issue but where do i start to look?
 
SUCCESS! Lucked out on this one. Pulled other thermostat wire off by the rad cap and started the sled and the lights and tach appeared back on!! Put the wire back on the thermostat as the sled was running and everything stayed on.

Can anyone explain why this worked cuz i cannot
 
You could still have a short in that wire. Moving it un-grounded it maybe? You'll know once you ride it, it will probably short out again. If it does, at least you'll know where to start looking for a rubbed bare spot.
