Sometimes that ends in incarceration......
LOL.... Gary, it works if your a great big mutha and can back up the language with sheer size and intimidation/shotgun/baseball bat/big knife to the throat/......LOL!!!!!!

Dropped the the machine off back at the dealer. Mechanic pulled pull cord, as expected no pull happened. Next he went to the primary clutch ( smaller and lowest out of motor)?
Wiggled and rotated. Seemed to sound okay... but not great.. went back to pull cord.. worked like a charm.. We dint try to start it, rather left and was told they will let me know this week.
Now I just dont know what to expect to come from this sled next?
Cheers 4 Now
That is the risk you take in buying "used". Do not know exactly how it was maintained prior to your owner ship. I hope you get some good news weather it be a ridable sled this season or a reimbursment.

Well well well ...
Not Good at all...............................
Okay this is the scoop.
As you all know I took the sled back on Monday..
I havent heard anything all week so, I decided I should give a call (2:30 PM Friday)
For the record this really sucks.
Bright side will be riding few weeks (max )
SHE POPED
One of the sides let loose
1 crank shaft
1 Bearing
1 Cylinder
2 sets of rings
and ahh ya anything else that goes between there. She's ducked! (pardon the hunting terms )
So the flip side of this is realy havent spoken to the dealer in regaurdes to price. I did ask into but was told parts are on order and we will talk about it more or less when its back together.?.?
Our conversation was not more than 1 1/2 minuts long...
So long story short I really dont know where things stand for riding this year but I guess its the waiting game....
I miss Brenda already... LOL
Thanks for the intrest guys , I'll keep the fourm posted...
Chow for now!

I think you might want to know what the arangement is before they fix it and get it back together. Otherwise your going to pay whatever they tell you since they already did the parts, labor, and have your sled sitting in the shop.
if they already ordered parts and did not consult you first then, it sounds like they are gonna fix it no charge . but if it were me , i would not assume this to be true

Hanging by a thread....
I really dont think they will be like that... He said he wouldnt have traded it in if he knew it was going to pop.,. But at the same time when I first called he had already agreed to 50/50. If he dosent asume the bill then I think a brand new rebuild for half the cost aint too bad...

however this ends(good for you i hope) make sure they use OEM parts..
ouch, sounds like it was pretty ugly inside then to damage that much. Hope it all works out for ya. I would also ask if they cleaned the carbs, so this doesnt happen again if its fuel starvation related.
I would ask what you can expect to responsible for now. Hope all works out well for you.

I hope they use the Yamaha parts and go 50/50 on the parts and cover all of the labor. If not it might have been cheaper finding a used motor.
