Stupid oil cable question

Does the oil cable come apart slightly at the juncture. Is this where I take the measurement for slack in the oil cable. I measured it to be 21 mm. from end of the inlet to the conection piece. I'm trying to get my sled running better and just want to check everything. Thanks for the help.

Do these checks in this order;


1st- set idle to 16- 1,7000 rpm's(@ operating temp)

2nd- set throttle end play to 2mm(adjustment for that is down at the carb rack)

3rd- set oil pump cable free play here and here to 20(richer)to 22(leaner)mm

then set choke anytime to 1.5mm

i need to replace the trottle cable on my 04 viper, is this procedure and specs the same on a 04 ??

Yup, just remember on a 04 it one cable into two. Oil and throttle.
