This is the problem? I have a noise that I can hear just before I stop. It sounds like it is coming from the cogs area in the track. I noticed today after the sled was parked over night. I thought it was ice but any ice would chunk out from the studs after a mile?

I will take a good look at the W arm and the track.

Any suggestions, bearing in the jack shaft or what the sound may be?

03 Viper with 3600 miles.

Thanks,

Check your black plastic slide rail caps. Mine rattled real bad until I replaced the rivets with stainless hardware. I have 8 tooth drivers and because of the smaller diameter of the driver this creates less clearance between tip of rail and track.

The sound is like the studs are going over hard pack ice or concrete when the sled comes to a stop of the last five feet. This happens is normal snow conditions.

The sleds runs great. I will have to check the stock 8dn yamaha belt, it is a couple years old. I have the stock 03 track with 144 woody studs in it that have over 1500 miles on them?

Any ideas of what it might be? Bearing in the jackshaft going?
