i am in need of a new track. i have a 1.25 predator that blew on me. i loved the traction but lack in topspeed. i like aggressive trail riding with some long stretches once in a while. what is the best track for me. thanks guys

I love my 1" 9830 I think its called the carve now. But get the 1.250 preditor its awesome in the powder and makes your sled slower which benifits me also you already have the studs.

If you ride agrassive trails and like top speed you can't beat the hacksaw it's one of the lightest on the market with excllent traction.

yes.but has excllent bite in hard pack and loose snow as well. It's not a boon docker track but he just rides trails. The tracks are light too compared too preadtors so theres a lot less rotating weight.

We just got done installing a 1 inch lugged hacksaw on my buddies sled with 144 studs. took it out the other day in powder and it hooks well, and grabs REAL well on hardpack.... Worth the 440 bucks.

i like my 1 inch ripsaw speed track but u need to take care not to spin on rock ....

The three tracks where talking about are all the lightest out there. Not much difference.

I went with the 9830 with its harder rubber compound. Will last longer and not balloon as much at high speed. I heard one of the best off trails too. Curious to know how old was you Predator? Was it clipped?

Hacksaw is better on trails so that is what I recommend to you.

Clip every 3rd 15"x121":
Hacksaw 1" 33lbs
Carve 9830 (old Predator) 1" 34lbs
Rip Saw 1.25" 36lbs
Carve 9818 (old Predator) 1.25" 36lbs

I'm happy with my 1 inch Hacksaw with 96 picks on my Viper for trail riding, and a little off trail stuff.
Whichever track you decide on, give Bruce at CB Performance a call. Bruce is a TY sponsor, and will most likley be cheaper than anyone else on the track price.

thanks guys, i think it will be between the hacksaw and the new predator. my old predator lasted forever. i put over 12 000 km on the track with 192 picks. it was a real tough track. i just hope the new ones are just as tough because i put that track through hell and back.

By the way its not a 1 1/4 i'm talking about its a 1 inch ripsaw at 32 lbs
they sell them this years at royals distribution ripsaw speed track

I put a hacksaw on last season with 192 woodys 1.175" studs with tall nuts and im switching to a 136" cobra after this season, its great on hard packed, groomed and lakes. But i lost a couple races on loose stuff so decided it wasnt quite enough for me. Hopefully 136" Cobra with some 1.450s does the trick.
