What is the proper torque for the primary clutch bolt? I was thinking 70lbs but not sure.

1-tighten to 87 ft lb
2- loosen bolt back up completely
3-retighten to 43 ft lb

I use a crow bar through the clutch towers, but be gentle and don't bind your primary clutch spring. I normally have someone else hold the bar.

I am not sure about this one but one guy I know puts a length of new starter rope in through a spark plug hole and turns the piston against it and the head. He says hes been doing this for 25 years. :l
