Hey quick question. I'm doing a pre-season carb clean, and I noticed that the red coating on the inside of one of the rubber booties, which houses the reeds is delaminating. The boot looks to be in great shape otherwise. Do I need to replace it. If not should I carefully remove the rest of the film so it does not get ingested? Any feedback would be great. This is the first sled I have had since an old El Tigre in grade school. I'm a bit behind the times. Thanks,

Jesse

you do not need to replace the boots, due to the orange inner coating peeling. you can take some non-chlorinated brake cleaner, spray a rag w/it, and wipe the inside of the boots out with the brake cleaner soaked rag. it will take that stuff right off.

Hey,

Thanks so much. I already replaced it.....guess I have a spare. I'd like to know what that garbage is for though. Prevent build up? Better flow? Who knows.....
