track noise - ticking

skid is back on sled after having shocks rebuilt and w-arm welded. I now have an annoying ticking noise from what I think is the track clips hitting the hyfax at the bend in the rail. I installed track 1000 kms. ago and I don't remember this noise before. Should I just let the hyfax wear and keep an eye on it, or should I tighten up the limiter straps till noise goes away? I've checked track tension, chaincase tension, track alignment and spun track by hand. Track is not hitting any part of the skid and it's not the black bumpers on the end of the rails rubbing the clips neither.
anyone's thoughts??
 
if the sled is suspended you will here the track slap and tap at the rails....I wouldnt do anything until there is snow on the ground....just make sure nothing hanging out from the track or tunnel and make sure its not a stud....and you should be good.
 
yeah you're right, I'm probably just being paranoid. I'm going to compare the noise to my buddy's viper when I get the chance. Hopefully it's nothing.

I had a listen to my buddy's viper today and his track sounded like it should. I don't run studs and my track is aligned properly. I'm running a camo 9818 with every third window closed. My limiter straps are showing just under 1" of threads. What are you guys running your straps at and should I crank mine up a bit? clicking noise is fairly loud. loud enough to bug me.
 
my track is doing the same thing. stock track and the new ripsaw I just put on. I'm next to certain it is because of the sled being lifted in the rear as mr. sled suggests.
 
I found the cause of my noise. Front of sled was on milk crate and back end was jacked up pretty high. this caused the skid to sit at an awful angle and the black bumpers were getting nailed by the clips. hence the awful ticking i was hearing. once i lowered the skid, clips don't even touch the bumpers anymore.
