Hi everyone. I have a 2001 SRX700 and the crank is starting to come out of phase (she has 10,000 kms on her). I am looking at re phasing and welding and replacing the bearings but I have come to find the bearings have gone way up!!! apprx $1600. Does anyone have a source for these that are a little more reasonable? Or any other suggestions?
Thanks

did you try looking at Canadian Bearing. I know that they make all kinds of bearings. Just a thought.
i thought 98 was the ones that went out of phase ? or did 01 have the same problem?

Still probably a good time to do a ring job and replace crank bearings and true the crank shaft . no need to weld.

why do you think your crank is going out of phase? on a welded crank it is pretty much impossible for it to go out of phase unless the welds have broken.i don't think you can get the bearings anyware but yamaha.

Just a thought but did you consider looking for a used engine with low miles on it maybee from a scapped sled it would probably be a lot cheaper than a total rebuild ,just a thought.
surely someone knows of a bearing source besides oem?maybe ntn?or federal mogul?

like progold said it would be way more cost effective/time saver just to find a good used compleat crank...then just R/R it...

Are we all sure that 2001 had a factory welded crank and cannot come out of phase?
