Rumble Pack on Sx600R

Hi, I recently bought a sno-stuff rumble pack for my 2000 sx600R and noticed that rumble packs dont have the collar at the bottom of the can where it exits the exhaust hole in the bottom of the belly pan to rest on....ALSO can i mount this can with my stock springs? Please let me know A.S.A.P. THANKS!!!

You should have got one spring with the silencer for the inside to mount to pipe. You can use the rest of your stock springs. Be careful with the pullcord though. When i had mine on there it wasn't keeping it in place right and i snapped 2 ropes in the same day. Other than that you'll be fine. Warning though that can is VERY loud, i ran mine for half a season and took it off. My buddy has a Ski-doo 700 with dynoport triples and 3 stinger tips and he said he could here mine over his without a problem. He always said he knew when i throttled down cause it was so much louder than his. It sounded badass but to much for 8-12 hour days.

I have a Sno Stuff Can on my SX600R and it is loud to.Really sounds good when you pin it.I noticed when I would pass other guys and punch it,they would turn their heads and look.But The Sno Stuff sound can't be beat.

I also have a snow stuff can on my 700 sx and I love the sound. I used to have an MBRP and it was deafening loud. The snow stuff is quieter but not much. I am having trouble getting the can to stay in place. I'm not sure where to place springs etc. Right now it touches the recoil housing. If someone could post pics that would be great (didn't mean to hyjack the thread or anything).

Brought the 600 SXR into the heated garage today.Worked on the track tension and was going to switch Sno Stuff Can,but decided to leave it.It simply sounds to awesome when you nail the throttle.Tightened track up a few turns on the bolts.Now I don't have that sound,(possibly ratcheting..I don't know.).anymore.Went into the deep drifts and punched it and track sounds smooth now and that Sno Stuff Can just a wailing.Yamaha4evr..here are some pics of my installed can.It is close to the pull assembly and chaincase,but does not touch them.

So it looks like you only used two springs to the pipe and just the bracket with the bolt to secure it. My MBRP can melted my rubber exhaust grommet so i think thats why mine touched. I just shimmed up the bracket with a nut and it seems to be fine now. Does it sit alright without any other springs? Or does it bounce around?

no movement.It stays the way I bolted it down.No leak at the exhaust joint either and the outlet rubber is still good.

bluemonster... did you cut the inlet on your can at a slant? what did you use if you did? Sorry to kinda hijack the thread, but Im having a similar issue and the expansion pipe is pulled out some...

sxrider7hundo: Yes i had to cut the inlet at a slant so it could fit on the pipe correctly without it leaking...i marked the inlet with a sharpie and cut it a little bit at a time so it fit just the way i wanted it and it was fine all last season...i love my rumble pak sounds soooooooooo good when you pin the throttle...hope this helps

sxrider.I to had to mark with a sharpie and cut away slowly until it conformed .Tapped with hammer to get it to curve the outside edge inward also until everything fit snug.Then used heavier springs to keep it there.I took mine off last year,but it is back on for this year.I love the sound of it,especially when you nail it in the deep powder.Other sledders will turn their heads when you pass by near them.LOL

The neighbour sort of behind me,his stupid kid has a Polaris and he has some insane can or pipe on their that makes these rumble packs sound silent.It is so loud you can hear him coming 2 miles away.My wife and I were watching a movie one evening when I heard this sound,jumped off the couch...the house vibrated.I didn't know what was going on.He continued to subject a few of us homeowners for a while,going down the gravel road between houses and all.Surprised no one called the cops.Kid is insane,am hoping for the cops to nail him one day beside the Hwy that he rides.I already made a jesture to him as he passed my house from the side field,with my finger turning it round and round beside my head showing how insane he was.He is a punk..thinks he is fast because he has all the noise..he must be deaf already.IT IS LOUD..like 10 times more then my rumble pack and I am not kidding.Icouldn't ride with noise likje that beside me all the time.

I know what you mean man. Theres this guy that lives around where I do, he has a Mach Z 780 triple triple with triple cans I believe, because its the LOUDEST sled I've ever heard, sure, it sounds good but when he goes up and down the road multiple times, day and night, it pisses you off. Nobody minds it really once or twice, but continuously. Then theres another guy with a 400 enticer with a cherry bomb rigged up on it from a car, its loud to. First time I heard it I was like, WTF is coming down the trail? Sounded like a Rev 800 with twin pipes. Why to an Enticer? I still don't know. Pointless unless you have power to back up the sound. Yamaha triples are fairly loud from the factory, I mean I heard my fathers buddy coming for 3 miles and its stock, unless the previous owner bored the can. Believe me I have no problems with having a loud sled, but WOT around houses pisses people off. Luckily most of our trails are away from houses, so closure is not an issue, and loud exhausts are legal here, but wouldn't be surprised if it changes.
