I'm planning on replacing the track on my '02 viper this weekend with an ice ripper. I've had the rear skid off the track before, but dont know how to take the track off the drive sproket. any help will be greatly appreciated.

you have to remove the chaincase and the secondary. The driveshaft/sprockets will slide wheere the chaincase was, then will come out. As you do it, you will see what im talking about. There is a writeup on here somewhere, but aslong as you know you need to take off the secondary and the chaincase, anyone with little mechanical skills can swap a track.

chain case dont have to come all the way off just moved back a inch or so .....spray the bearing as soon as you can so it can soak for a few days if possiable..and dont forget about set screws on the bearing ..just remove speedo cover and you will see the bearing ....careful not to damage or loose the speedo key....

I am considering the same track and wonder how you like it so far.
Any fitment issues? Thanks

while you have the drive hog out to put in a new track its a good time to replace your beaings on it and in chain case but thats just me and my 2 cents let us know on the track if you like it i put on a 1 1/4 rip saw with no studs and love it just have to be carefull in the corners
