Difference between Hauck racing Stage II trail Porting and Stage III race porting??

tony:
mine peak @ 87-8800...but if your runing lean jetting & getting a lot of heat in the pipes 9000 may be correct. those pipes have a wide power band & not a big difference bt. 85-8800. when are you going to jim's? i may stop by.

I have a set of Bo Whitman port viper cylinders that have some pretty extensive work done on them. I never got them to work on my combination primarily because I didn't want to run the compression needed (and associated race gas). These cylinders supposedly pulled 170+ Hp on Bender's dyno, but I don't know what pipes or anything other than 38mm carbs. I would say these are strictly race cylinders and I now know you shouldn't run full ported cylinders on the trail. BTW they are pretty much for sale (They aren't on the sled anymore). If you want to race, these would be good cylinders.

Interesting posts.... I think that if you use a dynojet 200IX and have a asphalt track on it, you can get the clutch set up correct. We can also but a brake or dyno on the crank.. I feel the track power to be more useful. Sled engines are much easier then a dirt bike or ATV... Sleds don't need "usable power" like a bike or ATV... Sleds have a clutch to lock it in place at peak power...
Anyway I will get some dyno pulls on my SRX up by July..... It will be power at the track on the dynojet
