I bought an 04 Viper last Dec that I really like, my Question is its got a Speed sheave on it, and a Hauck helix. When its closed, the pads don't touch the ramps...My cuz works on my sleds and he's going to check the stock helix on it instead. Any advice out there, someone said to trash the sheave...
Just put new Hacksaw-1 in. and 96 suds down middle, should hook up better if we get clutching figured out!

I personally don't care for the speed sheaves. I messed with them several years ago and what I found was a loss in acceleration (ET).....but more top end. Just took me longer to get there. That was with the recommended gearing down that was required.

compared to my 02 Viper, it seems to accelerate harder, I've never pinned either one of them. Guess I'm getting old...What about helix angles, what works best with stock sheave (and springs...)?
