My Viper has a 1.25 6 pitch camo and it works really nice until it gets icy. I looked up front and there appears to be plenty of clearance for studs. My thoughts were to throw in 2 per row and keep them fairly close to the opening in the track. Reasons are that if the track does balloon the paddles will hit the front exchanger guards keeping the studs away from the exchanger. I'm not really looking for better hookup, rather better stopping. I figure if I go with a stud that just peeks their head past the paddles I'll be fine. Anyone else stud their vipers with 1.25 tracks and stock drivers?? If so, what length did you go??

I put 1 and 3/8 on mine stock made one trip looked underneath when I got home noticed alot of damage to front heat exchanger. I removed them right away. I think you can get away with it if you keep your track tight. I didnt want to risk it.

From what I was told you can run the stock drivers using 1.25 6 pitch & 1 3/8 studs. You have to run the track pretty tight so they won't hit. Alot of guys don't like running the track that tight. I am in the same problem as you are. I am at the point if you only run a little past the lug it won't do much. I think a better way is to run a 1" and run the 1 3/8 studs. You can get kinda the best of both worlds. Who knows maybe I am wrong.

See if this helps ya.
