2001 srx temp light always on

I was wondering if anybody has had this problem?? My temp light comes on as soon as i start the sled. The normal 3 pulses arent appearing anymore either. I was wondering if their is anything really abnormal or if this is most likely just the sensor being pooched causing the temp light to come on and stay on...

how does the sled run/drive???

sled runs fine. nothing abnormal.

well next i'd check/test sensor and chase the wiring harness to and from
the CDI for a broken bad wire,etc...

you can ohms check the sensor to see if it's bad,it's on the bottom side
recoil side of the water rail...
