Am I seeing this right that the torque on the chaincase bolts is like 7 ftlbs? I pulled the cover drained it. Put it back on snug, filled it, realized that I didn't flip the reverse arm up when putting the cover on.... So I drained it again. There went $12 of amsoil chaincase fluid.... I put it back together but 7 ftlbs seems awful light. Is there anyway to check my seal. I ended up putting in all 12 oz to get up on the dipstick. I thought even with reverse it only held 8.5 oz.....

Also I think I was missing bolt. There is a smaller hole mid-cover that lines up with on of the gears. I looked and it looks like there should be a bolt and rubber washer there. I had a bolt that fit laying around that was a little long so I cut a rubber washer and put some washers on it. Should I have done that? I can order one but it will cost me more in shipping I'm sure.

yes their is a small bolt, it takes a 10 mm wrench, this goes into the idler gear shaft, oil will leak out if not sealed. I usually just tighten hand tight 1/4 inch drive wrench.

Excellent! Thanks. Now a litle more info confirming the torque on the others...
