Hey guys.. i realized i made my post in the wrong section.. im not restarting the same question...
Well my primary for now is a comet but it got damaged (happened this weekend).. a bolt behind my primary rattled loose and was hitting against the clutch.. it made the clutch over heat and at some sections there's small cracks on it.. the cracks dont go right through, its just on the surface.
Now i posted in the need section for a yxr primary clutch and a guy msged me back saying he has a primary off a 01 mm 700, good shape,just put your weights and spring in and go.125.00 plus shipping.
is it a good price for a "naked clutch" ??
Im bringing in my sled tonite so the mech i bought the comet clutch off of can check it out now if theres a warrenty on it and i can get it changed ill pay the difference and get a new yamaha yxr clutch if i cant just take back my money n walk away... then i want to go and set up my cluthing to turks settings on the faq section trail/lake.
How much am i lookin to spend to do that? changing the helixes and weights...

$125 is a great price for a bare clutch in good shape in Canada. Pm me for a set up before you buy any parts. you may have a lot of what u allready need. the key is to spend as little as you have to & work with what u got.

the clutch is from the states... ill be paying around 250 somthing in total shipped canadian..
I got that clutch lined up if i can get my money back from my mech when i tell him i wana return the comet, if not im just gona pay the difference for a yamie clutch..if i can switch em...
I will def Pm you when i get everything cleared up...
I might need help identifying what i got as a helix and such in my bender secondary clutch so I can give you a good idea of what to put in my primary and what not....

Alrite went to my mechs.. not what i was completely hoping for i guess it could of been worse...
My warenty will only cover to get me another comet.
He said he was surprised to see me want to go back to a yamaha clutch, hasnt had any one having problems with one so far.
He is going to tune my clutch to my style of riding trail/lake tomorow morning, I also gave turks trail/lake set up as an example though it will be completely dif since its an example on a yamie clutch and not a comet. so well see what he comes up with... He said he will be able to tune it now that theres snow unlike last time he had it, it was still hot out and no snow.
Now i requested to have my rpm hit 9000 and drop to 8500 when i hit WOT... this is correct right??? i read it somewhere just dont remeber where and cant find it again.
Also I think a big reason my belt was slipping is because he might of ordered the wrong belt since it is bigger than my spare yamie belt i have. he is gona look into that also and change it if it is the wrong one.

Also im curious.... i dunno if u guys find this stupid or not... but was wondering.. do they offer twist throttle for the srx?

You want rpm,s to hit 8200 & slowly climb to 8400 rpm.

well talked to my mechy today! had some good news... he tuned the clutch it hits 8300 and climbs to around 84-8500rpm.... close enough to your specs i would believe turk...
running strong with now problems. anctious to try it out and see if theres a big difference... I would believe so since i wasnt hitting max 8k then dropng to 7.5 then to 7k RPM and had major belt slippage when I had it...
im ready to be impressed.... hope it dont let me down!
