Sounds like you have tried what i am talking about then.I Actually have a viper but sounds like a bad idea either way.I know the viper has a longer travel but im sure it would do the same thing.I was just looking to get the best drag set up as possible.bluewho said:No it dosent sound stupid at all When i say the brackets will bend i mean the control staps that pull the shock closed. You no the thin bands of metal that run paralle with the shock?Iam just going from expereance from messing around with my 3 srxs for ten years now.I think i have bent busted or broken every thing you could possaby do with over 30.000 klm on the 98.

There is lots of differant opinions.I set up for lots of transfer [with my trail setup for raceing]If you are looking at setting up a race sled you would want less transfer good race picks and lower the sled by backing the springs right off.
I'm just looking for a hole shot I get beat out of the hole by a 340 for the first 50 feet all i"m doing is spinning I'm not looking to race it.
I'm looking for a setup that i can pull my trail sled in the garage, change the suspension settings, and then have a sled that would do better racing than it would have with the trail setup.bluewho said:There is lots of differant opinions.I set up for lots of transfer [with my trail setup for raceing]If you are looking at setting up a race sled you would want less transfer good race picks and lower the sled by backing the springs right off.
i wish someone had a suspension tuning sheet

You can run studs with a 1.25 on a SRX. Opinions vary as to if it is a good idea or not, but I have now ran then on two SRX's without any problems.

It's not really right or wrong.. I think some just worry that if they ran their track loose....that the studs will hit. I loosen my track until it rachets on good hard pack, and then tighten until it goes away. With that setup there is not a single mark on the front heat exchanger. Works for me.
Your sled looks awsome i've been thinking of widing the front after i get this traction thing figured out.snowdust said:It's not really right or wrong.. Thanks! What about taking some pictures for us to help you further? A lot of times it easier to take a peek and see how it is set up.
I'll try to do that today I'll try it this afternoon
how do I get you the pictures

You can post them on here, but they need to be a certain size. If you want to send them to Kurt4044@yahoo.com, I'll resize them and post them for you.
