Hey All,
My buddy has a 95 Vmax 4 800 he bought bout 5-6 years ago and last week we were changing the track on it and i noticed that the VIN number was 8BU-000600. I was thinking that this might be the first 800 ever produced, the production date is 7/94. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks All

I agree with you Daman but the production date is 7/94 which leads me to beleive that it may have been a prototype or something

Agreed but why would a 95 production sled made in 7/94 have a Vin number that should be at the end of the production run some time in 95. That VIN on that year sled just seems very strange.

thats how she is bud.......my 97 has 5/96 on it.
Back then they liked to complete production of next years sleds in late summer so they could all be shipped (yes, by ship) and in Dealerships well before season started.
