Change the position of the secondary spring, usually there 200rpm each. Try that, if that still doesnt do it you def have clutch issues.

ok now...you say you are out of the hole at 8000 and suddenly drop to 7500.Now I am assuming that the throttle is still being pinned.What happens after,does the rev's start to climb again or does it just stay there.If you were to let go of throttle at this given point and just punched the throttle again ..will it climb in rpm's or just sit there??Sounds like a hang up somewhere.Mine was doing that all last year.Sounds like a bushings problem.Like others have said,maybe tighen wrap on secondary and see if it changes.You may also be shifting out to quick and that puts it in a higher gear so to speak.But sounds like a clutch issue for sure.Check the clutches completely for wear or damage or missing parts.Are the clutches to hot to touch or cool after a good run?Belt could be slipping,alignment needs to be checked.
