I got a kimpex tether switch from the polaris dealership, but it says its for a yamaha. Anyways, anyone know which wire I would tap into and where? The tether has a black wire and a black wire with a white stripe. Thanks for any help

no, under the bar cover, throttle side. remove the bar cover, you will see a white connector there that leads back to the kill. just a tip, lightly bare the wires and do a test first, using alligator clips or scotchlocks, before committing. some of the aftermarket tethers are incorrect for the yams. some are normally open, some closed. i have had bad luck with the cheapies and kimpex is right at the top of my chit list.

alright, well i figured for 20 bucks it was safer than falling off and watching 1100 dollars worth of pipes get smashed into a tree

your exactly right! cheap insurance!,wrong agent! i am a believer in tethers. when you get it wired in and it seems to work really well, a few months down the road, when your sled wont start, remember this: wiggle the tether connection, and check for spark. also, when your in the midst of a long hard pull and your sled suddenly dies, sending you into a near flying w position, wiggle that tether connection. i, like you my friend, opted out on the cheaper stuff. this is the voice of experience, or at least my personal bad, have since swapped the kimpex's out with the higher dollar products. sometimes you get what you pay for. dont know what the manufacturing difference but kimpex aint on top.
