can someone please tell me the proper gap on the piston ring for a 2000 SXR 700??? 
Are you asking for ring end gap or side clearance?
Ring end gap is 0.35 - 0.55mm (0.014 - 0.022")
Side clearance is 0.02 - 0.06mm ( 0.0008 - 0.0024")
