Pulled the motor and found bad harness like normal, repaired and put back together, still no spark, check stator and all other wiring and it is good. Could the wiring harness rub thru smoke the cdi box ? I am at my wits end. We checked everything we could per specs in the book..Please help with any ideas. Thanks

You checked the wiring, but does that mean the stator is working? Maybe you answered your own question??^^^

On a different note, check ignition key wires, and kill switch wires, make sure nothing is going on with them

yea we ohm'd out the stator and ran thru the book and checked all switch's too. Hate to buy a cdi box and find out i missed somethig stupid.

my stator checked out ok but the problem was the pick up . I had to buy the stator and pick up as an assembly from yamaha
