ok so i just fired up my srx after a long rid today and the lights wouldn't come on nore the dash lights what would be the cause of this issue bad wier or a big expensive part i cant afford.

maybe wired under engine ..or i think the blue relay at your left foot got something about it (make it dry)... ask mr viper he know better on that problem

There's a blue and a white relay(headlight and load control relay's)over your
left foot behind the luvers.they probably have moisture in 'em and you'll have to remove them and dry 'em out in the house by a heater for a day..

common problem

My relay would do this all the time when it was very cold out.I just let the sled warm up and the lights come on every time.

well thanks guys to tell the truth i did not even try to salve the problem my self lol i figured i would get a faster response over here then me trying to mess with it and finger it out. but the problem is now solved it was that little box is their any way to make this not happen like maby take plastic rap and cover it or something orplastic bag

Its going to get moisture in it, its a snowmobile, moisture gets evvverywhere.

Is there a reason why they went to the relay in 00-02 as opposed to what they had in 98-99? is it better???

your pretty much guaranteed that the lights with come on the 98-99's because it had no relay.... i forget what what the name of the system the 98-99's had.
