04 Viper Mountain ER. Mods in my sig.
The problem i seem to be having is i keep blowing the ignition fuse on my sled. It happens when the sled motor is cold, and when you turn the key to the run position. You hear the PV's cycle, then try and either e start or pull start it, and no go. It does not fire. Look at the fuse panel, and the 10 amp ignition fuse is blown. I have blown about 10 fuses in the past month. I tend to keep 5 or so on me just in case, but its becoming a PITA to keep replacing them. Any suggestions on why I may be blowing fuses? (i even tried upping to 20 A fuses and i blew one of them, so i went back to 10's)

- Electrical short in the wiring
- Failed rectifier/regulator
- Failed stator
- Failed consumer component (anything that uses power in the ignition circuit) i.e. coils. etc.
- Battery problem - (unlikely)
Basically something is allowing more electric current to flow than the circuit is designed for. That is why you have the fuse, to protect the downstream components.

Well, the sled is melting off right now, ill try and do some testing on it and go from there.... I will add though, that i am running a smaller motorcycle battery. Also this only happens after riding a decent amount of powder (basically always ride pow) and there is snow under the hood.
u have two 10 amp fuse witch one blow...u got one that is drive direct from the 30 amps fuse from batterie and the other one work with the load control relays

probably a open wired somewhere and went u add water it does a conductor to the frame so it ground and burn fuse

The fuse that is blowing is the one which is in the same fuse box as the 20 A headlamp one and the 10 A taillight one. I have not located another fuse box, but i have not looked real hard. I am going to go up and do some electrical testing and looking over and i will report back. I appriciate all the help guys!

Well guys i figured it out. I had 3 wires that had the coating melted off them from the stingers.... The colors were red, red/white, and a brown. I heatshrunk them to seal and its good again.
