Just wondered if they make that much more power? What's a good brand and does anyone have any they want to get rid of?

You will loose power with after market cans... you will only make it louder
The stock is the best way to go..
Do little bit of research theres LOTS of info on cans for srx's and you will notice every one doesnt like them UNLESS you want to have a loud sled or a better sounding one.
But this is all your personal prefferance!... you want power stick with stock.... you want to have a loud sled that sounds nice get a can...

There really are no aftermarket pipes available that work on an SRX. Leave the pipes alone and put on a canister if you want some sound. If you want more performance, port it.
It is ported and I have hauck growlers,v-3 reeds, bender clutch kit the only thing I have'nt done yet is a cold air kit I'm just trying to get a little more hp.

You might find more speed by going to heel clickers instead of the "Kit" from Bender.

If you are trying to get a bit more hp out of it, here are your options:
-Get a little more cylinder porting done - lakerace - or build a 780 big bore
-Port the cases
-Bore the carbs, or run 38mm carbs from a MachZ
Stay away from the cold air kit. You won't see much gain from it, and they don't work if you ever run the tall windshield.

I noticed your comment about "they don't work if you ever run the tall windshield". I have an 00 SRX with a cold air kit. I bought the sled with it on and later put on a tall windshield. I have heard they don't provide any real gains but does a tall windshield enhance the problem? I may block mine off and go back to stock.

The airflow changes quite a bit from a tall windshield to a low windshield. I'm sure you find that when you run the tall windshield, the wind tends to swirl around you and hit you more in the back. The cold air kits can tend to starve for air with a tall windshield installed. You'll notice it on long WOT runs.
