Hey guys.
I slightly bent my trailing arm on my srx last year and havent put out the dough yet for a new one yet. Hope to have one soon though.
I realigned the skis so thats not an issue. I'm more concerned whether the arm could get progressibvely worse and the safety implications.
Have people ridden with bent arms for a great lenghts?
Feedback?

If its only SLIGHTLY bent i wouldnt worry about it to much.
depends how bad ...i had a buddie who bent the arm on his girlfriends sled and it broke when she was riding ...she got the biggest bruse on her leg i have ever seen with a knot about 3 inches round .....me i would not risk it after what i seen ....

i have put long miles on with a bent arm or arms....the biggest question is...is the enitire arm kinked (including the inside closest to the belly pan and/or the bottom)? the arm is double thick on the inside and bottom and if that is still straight and not kinked i wouldnt worry too much...if the arm is kinked pretty bad i would seriously consider replacing it asap.

My trailing arms are always bent. I put a new set on and they seem to get bent on the first ride. I have never really worried about it a whole lot.

I think it definitely depends how bad it is, I minor dent doesnt matter, you know like one you cant see unless you know its there....like mine! LOL
I cut out one side out of perforated galvanized square tubing and bolted it on. Drilled right through the T-arm.
I rode a whole season that way. It is still hanging in the garage, along with a host of other bent arms. I can post a pic if you want.

i little dent is no big deal. if you really want some strong replacement arms look at the ones from mountain performance. they are not that much more than the Yamaha ones. i put kimpex arms on mine last year because they a lot cheaper and the right one has 3 dents in it all ready and i haven't hit anything. mine will be getting these the next time i need arms.

I bent mine a couple of days ago. i just cut a slot were the bend was, traightened in and welded on an angle iron, now its stronger than before, ofcourse i had to repaint it, but i would rather have it straight and safe then worry about it braking while im riding....
