My 00 SRX 700 is smoking a lot lately, and getting hard to start.
I would say its running rich, is there a way of setting how much oil it uses? or is there maybe another reason it is doing this?

Did you just start it up after it sitting for the summer? if so, it will smoke a while because of the fogging oil (if it was fogged), and will take some time to burn off.

Thanks daman, I will make those adjustments and see if it runs any better.

after that check jetting as well,make sure thats in check..clean carbs,choke circut,etc..

Well I made all three adjustments and while doing them I noticed my coolant was down alot. Took the air box off and notice some coolant in the carbs, so I started it up, it ran on one cylinder, I shut it off pulled the spark plugs and saw that it was running on the center cylinder, the outside spark plugs had coolant on them. So I don't know if this has to do with the same problem or another different problem all together. Anyways i checked all the lines and can't see any leaks, do i have a couple blown head gaskets?

dry the plugs out and get it running on all 3,,see if you can see bubbles
in the bottle..
