I took my sled for a spin the other night and noticed that I have what I think is a bad ground for the gauge light on the tach. When sitting or just cruising at low speeds, the light works just fine....when i give it some throttle though, the tach light will go out until I get out of it. The speedo light works just fine. BTW, my kill switch doesn't....kill. The sled runs whether its up or down. Thanks in advance for any advice.

You more then likely have a rubbed through wire on the hrness that runs under the motor. I hear your story 100 times every year.

Pull the harness out and check for freyed or rub through wires. Tape each individual wire you find rubbed through and wrap them all in plastic wire loom. You can get the loom at any auto store.

mine had same problem with the tach light, pulled harness, and it was already repaired by previous owner, did a really good job too, looks factory lol, so that eliminated that being my problem.

Id check the harness in other spots as well, by the sounds of it, you have rub through

Perhaps he didn’t seal the previous repair, but if so, again check the entire harness again
