I just bought a 2000 sx600r and i am looking for a few ideas that would wake this sled up a little, maybe a clutch kit, offset timing key, ext. Is there anyplace out there that has parts like that for this sled???

If you don't wanna take the time and tune it, then i wouldn't waste money on a clutch kit, nothing is bolt on and go, your gonna spend alot of time getting it right. i'd keep it stock........

Use the search button up in the tool bar, theres lot of info on what your looking for, it may take a while to find what your looking for , but its there!.

I've got the same sled and bought a clutch kit from pioneer perf. and it made a big difference on the top end from about 95 on the dreamometer to 105 I dont race it but my friend that has an f7 and f6 thought it made a difference too and if it isnt green he wont even look at it! I also did the reed stopper notch and silencer bore with the instructions on TY and havent had a problem, 6800 miles.

I have simply dropped in several clutch kits on sleds with a general setup from the manufacturer, and they have always performed much better than stock with no real tuning.

I say a clutch kit is a perfect way to wake it up, esp since yami is always very conservative with their clutching from the factory.

I had one a few years ago that i had ported, reed notched, head gasket mod, bender clutch kit, bender slilencer. It moved out really well for a 600.My dealer rode it and told me it was the fastest sxr 600 he ever rode.It would of been way better if i added triple pipes.

triple pipes....thin head gasket....porting....reed spacers....carbon tech reeds....clutching.......all these will add a smile to your face, when you nail the throttle. it kinda comes down to how much you want to spend and the type of riding you do. all of our site sponsors have some of the go-fast-goodies that i mentioned. if you need a set of reed spacers, i have a brand new set w/gaskets that i would sell to you.

does anyone have more info on the reed stopper notch???

Find a set of 700Cylinders and then do as Mopar states.
