Since the srx600's have 21cc heads, would it work out if I port the viper cylinders and then use cut srx600 heads?
I already have the 600 heads that have already been cut left over from my SRX so if it works that would be great!
Thanks everyone...
Oh and any recomendations on tripple pipes?
SLP, Hauck, etc..??

Nope, I take it that the cylinders/ head gaskets are different?
Just throwing some ideas out there, I haven't dug into the Viper stuff much yet

yup they are different ,,,srx has oring head gaskets ....vipers do not
u need to get your cylinder groove for oring if u wanna run them

Thanks for the info.
Would they work out OK?
Don't the SRX heads have better cooling?
Thanks

You can shave the heads and use a stock viper head gasket, I have srx heads on my viper and it uses the stock viper gasket, Make shure there will be no interferance with the piston diameter going from a 700cc to a 600cc.

What else is done to the head? Band work? Who did the work?
Nik!
Thinking about the SRX600 heads more IIRC they were cut 30 thou. for the SRX gasket mod so this may be too much for the viper.
What does the group think?

WOW!!! Bring out the C16!!! LOL! If they were indeed cut .030" I wouldn't run them, They are 21cc stock! CC them and LMK what they CC to. That would be crazy compression and very tight squish!
High compression, tight squish, shallow band angle, plus anything less that 116 Octane EQUALS..................... BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!
I bet they're close to 15-17cc if they were cut .03".

A firend did the work.No band work comp. is only 120 on all 3 cyls. but with the tight squish it is very snappy.

Only 120 ehh, I guess vipers are much different than srx's. I run .055" squish, 23cc, 11* band angle and I get 140PSI all three. Next year I was thinking .05-.052", 23cc, 13/15* band along with some more porting..... Or Iantomasi Custom Big bore! I would prefer the Big Bore!

Heh heh yea I was originally thinking they were cut .01" but then dug in the ole memory banks and I believe it was more like .03"
I'll CC them and let you know. I's guessing the easiest way to cc them is to leave a plug in and fill 'er up with some oil or grease and measure that amount?
Any other suggestions?

For a rough measurement Just get a "cc" syringe, Or ML Syringe. Fill it with water, level the head. Get a piece of plexy-glass, place it over the head with a hole in it to add the water in. Add some grease around the head to seal the plexy-glass. One ML is 1cc! If you don't mind checking. I'm just curious, and it would save me time and money!

Awesome Thanks MAC, I'll try this tomorrow night!
Maybe even tonight LOL!
OK just tried this out using the above guide with some grease and plexi.
The SRX600 heads measured in at 18.75cc
BUT I also did the stock viper head and it measured in at 25cc..??
I measured filling the chamber and then measured again by drawing out the fluid.
So now i'm confused because I thought the viper head was 21cc <scratches head>
