Viper vs. Rx-1

I'm thinking about a trade for an 04 Rx-1 for my 02 Viper...both have reverse and the RX-1 has ES, mine doesn't...it would be an even trade(no extra money involved)....what it the big difference between these sleds?? and how much different are the 4 strokes than 2's???

So much more potential from the RX1.
If they're both in like condition, I'd grab the RX1 in a heart beat!
If you're a Girlie Man and cry over the extra weight, then stay on the little Viper!
Looks like you already have an Apex, so I'm guessing the weight is not an issue.

A viper with pipes and set up right will smash the heavy one ton!! my 2 cents.
 
Great if you stay on the trails. Not a good boondocking machine. You will get better mileage and the motor will last forever. The sound is better too. My buddy has a 2003 and ours about even on the lake, his gets a slight nod most of the time. He has a few small things done to it. I do like the Apex better though...just my 2 cents...

OK then, a piped Viper vs Blown RX1???
 
I was wondering the same thing because I want to either get a Viper or a RX-1 this year. So this is a good topic!!!
 
The Rx-1 needs at least an inch and a quarter track to get the most of the torque to the ground. I used to think they were a joke until one of the guys went to a larger lug track, darn thing would give my SRX fits trying to stay ahead of it out on the lake.

yeah i figured i could hear everyones opinions
 
rx1 handles very similar to a vmx4 in the trails....but with a lot more inside ski lift. nose dives off bumps. a lot like a schoolbus on a road course.
stick with the viper!!

VIPER ALL THE WAY, EVEN THE GREAT YAMAHA TURNED OUT A BAD SLED AND ITS THE RX-1. COULD NOT GIVE ME ONE. I KNOW, SOMEHERE LIKE THEM AND THATS FINE. 3:16 (yammie tony)
