A good leakdown tester?

I'm looking for a good (new) leakdown tester that I can use to check the leakdown on yamaha 2 strokes.

Got any reccomendations?
 
Just pick one that has duel gauges and don't look cheap,don't need to spend a ton i paid $70ish for mine...
 
I guess I'll have to order that thing first..

Some dumb questions
How do you attach that thing to the motor? Does it come with a spark plug hole fitting or something?

yes,screw it in your plug hole then to your air comp then adjust the
regulator to 100-125 psi witch every you prefer..
 
Do you take one cylinder at the time? For how long do you let it test? So no dismantelig anywhere?
 
you do one cyl at a time,,make sure it's at TDC,very important,then you'll need to hold the primary somehow so it don't spin on ya when you add PSI.

adjust regulator to 100psi(watching the first gauge) when it hits 100 look
at the second gauge and see what it reads... say it reads 90psi well you
then know you have 10% leakage on that cyl...you don't more then 10%
leakage..

some guy's use 125 because it's more realistic to what the cyl puts out in
comp,i use 100,,easier to calculate fast..

every tuner should have one in the tool box if ya ask me. :)
 
So now comes the big question, if you attach one to the plug hole, where does the second gauge get its "signal"/pressure from? Where's the other thing placed?
 
nope it all reads through the same manifold/regulator,,once you get one and
open it up and use it it'll all be clear,,,easy to use..
