Took the 600 out for about 55 km's today.She really pulls pretty good.Engages at about 3800 rpm..Got it up to about 130 km/h and that is it.Launches at about 7900-8000 rpm and wot seems to get 8200 out of it.
Now my set up is as follows: 8DN-20 weights with 3.6 in both holes.Y-G-Y primary spring.Has 15.6 rollers in the clutch.Clutch has all new bushings and complete re-build.Secondary has Green spring wrapped to 80 and the Helix is 51/43.
I originally had it wrapped at 70,but switched over to 80 thinking I would gain some rpm increase.I really need launch at 8200 ish and wot to 8500 rpm.I have geared down 1 tooth on top because of the 1.25 Ripsaw track.
Should I lighten the tip to 3.1 maybe and that will increase my rpm by 250,or lighten the lower rivet.
Sled really launches quick up to about 120 km/h and starts to climb to 130..but my rpm's aren't climbing,,so can't pu more speed.

I would lighten the Middle hole first, maybe try it without a rivet in the middle and see how it goes. I run Empty 8ca's on mine and it jumps to 8500 off the line and holds all the way to 100mph on the speedo. I also picked up 200rpm by thinning the headgasket and notching the reed stops. I geared down 1 tooth and run a 1.25" ripsaw like you.

middle hole means inner rivet..right. I have some 2.7 g rivets I could replace the 3.6g with. That means I would be dropping 2.7 g total. That should increase my rpm approx. 270 rpm. That could work.

I have a print out of the years and models of the sleds.For 2001 SXR600 it is printed 10.3 and 13.9 mm....(2.4 and 3.6 gr) In which order is that for the stock set-up?Do they mean 2.4 inner or outer?

Was it cold out when you were rideing/testing?You would pick up a little if it was colder.Not unless you are jetted for it.

it is around - 10-15 C and I am jetted for a true -20F.It's my rpm's I have to deal with and dial in.Since this sled isn't used much,I concentrate more on my SRX. BUT,now that I am using the 600 a little,I would like to dial in in closer.

well got the SXR600 tuned in finally.Didn't take a lot.replaced 3.6 rivets with 2.7g rivets in the inner holes. I really love the way the sled performs now.Launches 8100-8200 and wot at 8500.Can I ever feel the difference in the pull,accelerates like crazy now.Amazing how a little change makes alot of difference. Ran the drifted ditches today and had her pinned to the boards and engine just purrs and no ratcheting goin on either.Today was around -35 windchill day and sled runs awesome.Pulls like a frieght train.Can't beat them triples..bulletproof for sure.Going on 11,000 km's on the odometer and still runs great.Yamaha's are great sleds.
Did u try back your heel clicker ???

no I didn't use HC yet,don't know if I will.They are sitting in my spare clutch.Once,if I ever get the SRX out to some serious flat 1/2 mile spot and do a test run with my current setup and all is good,then I may switch over the clutch with the HC and try.I don't want to spend a lot of time testing again. Right Now I am riding the 600 because there really isn't any good snow or hardpack to take the SRX to.The River froze terrible this year,a lot of ice ridges and a lot of cracks and re-freezing again.It is really not to safe to open it up.With my 600 I can bust drifts and run on rough stuff a little more.We are supposed to be getting an Alberta Clipper coming thru here starting New Year's Eve..could get a BUNCH OF SNOW..BUT ALSO A BLIZZARD.Snow conditions where I live is minimal and I won't take the SRX out on it and kill the sled.The SRX might get to nap a a lot this season by the looks of it.But I love to ditchbang with the 600.Did a few wicked jumps today,ski's were pointing straight up more then a couple of times.
