is it worth the money? the more i look at insurance prices on new sleds the more i dont want one. so would it be worth the money to big bore sm sx700 red head? we dont get much snow around here anymore and i cant afford to run up north every weekend. what kind of HP do you get with the big bore anyway? how is the reliability? whom shall i have do the work?

i have CPR pipes.(they were on there when i bought it) i have v force 3 reeds with the spacers. guessing i will have to re jet and re clutch? how much $ am i looking at?

your sled isn't currently jetted/clutched for the cpr pipes that were originally on it when you got it? so, since you have pipes and reed spacers, i would look into porting. if you don't mind spending $2000, then 760 big bore it.

I was/am in the same boat. I installed a 760 BB kit (Hauck) a few years ago and have recently added pipes. I can say that compared to the 600 stocker (aside from some clutching) there was massive performance gains. It has been very reliable for me too. This is my first year with the pipes (CPR). I have also heard very good things from the Bender 800 cc kit too. I believe BufaloBob is running that setup. I have contacted a few hauck BB owners and all share my opinion of Hauck's kit. Your next issue however will be traction...
