was wondering if it was alot of work to get to the carbs? I have 96 vmax 600, and I just wanted to FOG it this spring. I was told to spray fog into the carb. how does one get to the carbs? Do I just remove the screws from the airbox, and lift that out? or is it much more complicated then this? any hoses or wires to remove first? or just unscrew it, and lift it out, and spray into the carb opening? thanks ,pete

Just take those screw off the top of the airbox. One of them has the coil attached. Pretty easy to do I have a 94 and should be the same.

so, all I do is take out the screws, and lift up? whats this coil your talking about? is it something I have to disconnect? i am really mechancaly defecent..haha, and I dont want to mess anything up, but I dont feel like paying someone $100.00 to fog something that may take me 5 minutes. does the whole big airbox come off? or just the top of it? thanks again, Pete

way easy dont pay hard earned money fer easy job like this. Any trouble(wich I doubt) jost post lots of help here.
should have sync nipples just ahead of the carb body on the left of carbs with rubber caps , just pulloff caps ( get a tee fitting and hose and make a setup to go on each nipple and other end to can spray liberally!

I check my airbox every year at the beginning of the season to make sure no mice got in there. A good habit to get into. I also make sure i use a magnetic screwdriver so i don't loose any screws.

remove the boost bottle..
a better way is just go through the boost bottle ports in the intake boots.

now one last question....do I remove that whole piece including the tubes? or just the little box part on the top and leave the tubes in...then when i remove whatever im removing, I spray the fogger right into these two ports? and this is just as good as spraying into the carbs? and I can do all this while having the engine running? I appreciate all the help on this board.... the begining of this week, i knew nothing about snowmobiles, so far after this board, i learned how to change a belt, change chaincase oil, grease the sled, and now how to fog. all easy stuff for everyones standards, but im really not a mechanic, I can fix your pc, but give me a screwdriver, and im lost...LOL!!!!!!!...thanks, Pete

the fogging oil right in there, goes right in to the motor same as the air box
yes with the engine running.
if it wants ti idle to high use bottle corks to plug the holes just drill a tiny
hole through the cork so your straw for the fogging oil goes through it you'll
need ttwo can of oil and a buddys help, it'll want to stall so you'll need
to be giving it a little throttle, tricky but you can do it,works good..
