Hey Guys I Know How To Clean And Adjust The Pvs But I Have Never Done It Using The Idle Method. I Have Two Question About This I Hope I Dont Open Up The Pv Can Of Worms.

1. Once You Have Opened The Pv Motor All The Way By Idling Under 900 Rpm And Hit The Kill Will It Technicaly Stay There Untill Restarted.

2. Marking The Pv Motor And Housing Incase It Moves. If It Does Move Can You Manually Position It Back To Your Alignment Marks?

Reason Im Asking Is I Want To Pull Them Off The Cables Let Them Soak And Clean Them But I May Not Put Them Back Together For A Day Or Two!

Thanks In Advance

Yes, it will stay open when you hit the kill. That being said, what I did is idled it down below 900 (took a little bit on FULL choke), marked the position, then killed it. Started it back up, let servo move back to normal position, and then choked it down so it went back to open position again. This was just to double check that I had the right position.

Yes, you can spin it manually to get back on the mark. It should only move if you accidently overtighten the cable, that will pull the servo to a different position. And, don't make the mistake I did the first time I adjusted them. When you put the 2.5mm allen wrenches in the gap, don't adjust the two bolts up to hold the allens in place. Leave the gap loose and then adjust the cables until the gap closes up and touches the allen wrenches.

I Like The Double Check Didnt Think Of That And The Tip Of The Allen Wrench Will Help And Get A Tru Adjustment!!! Thanks

Got anothr question to this...

I dont think i did the idler down on the servo properly.. cause it always went back to the orignal position when i hit the kill switch... so i market it where it was open then where it was closed n went from there...

what do i do now? anythin different i have to do to adjust the pv's

Im still waiting on my pv wire so i cant go on for now... but i cleaned the heck outa my valves went from chunky crapily cleaned from dealer to brand spanks lookin cleaned by me...

I don't know if I should mention it at all, but when I did the 900 rpm thing the servo went to exactly like daman's pictures. That being the second cable hole in the pulley was exactly at 12 O-Clock. Someone had also put a small dot with a sharpie in that position as well.

HEY GUYS JUST PULLED THE PVS OFF FOR A CLEANING AND WONDERED WHAT IF THE GASKET IN BETWEEN THE PV HOUSING AND BLOCK HAD A FEW AREAS THAT THE METAL IS SHOWING THRU THE RUBBER COATING. SHOULD I REPLACE THEM OR DONT WORRY ABOUT IT! TAKE A LOOK
