03 viper mtn put in 100/55 bulbs and those led crazy tail lights. I think it wasted the voltage reg. head lamp? or tail lights both? should have looked at box just wanted blue head lamps. Sound right guys??
the lights are dim and it will brighten when you hold brake. Some times it shuts dash off and resets.

There should be nothing with the bulbs that would cause a regulator or electrical system failure. I think that problem has come up here before. Is it only an LED taillight bulb or a complete lamp? Try it with the bulb out or the lamp unhooked.

Sounds like a grounding problem. I would try taking out the led tail lights first and put the stock bulbs in.
So they will handle the 100w bulbs. Put stock bulbs in but no change. I will put stock tail lights back. Then look for bad ground.

Do a search (use my name), many had those same problems last season, including me. One ended up having a rub through in the harness, one had a burnt wire from the stator, and all the rest had to replace the stator. So the new bulbs you put in require more voltage? Sounds like stator was weak, and more voltage demand made it show itself. Or just crazy coincidence. Man, there sure are a ton of '03 Vipers losing the stator!
